Robotics Week 2026 brought a powerful mix of hands-on STEM learning, creativity, and teamwork to students across the region—and it all led up to our biggest moment yet.
This year marked the culmination of Robotics Week with True Robotics’ Third Annual Robotics Competition, our largest event to date. Hosted once again at Auburn Village School, 14 teams came together for a full day of building, programming, testing, and refining their robots—all in front of an enthusiastic crowd of educators, administrators, and supporters.
Throughout the day, students collaborated, problem-solved, and adapted in real time. Between rounds, teams analyzed their performance, made adjustments, and pushed their designs further. It was a powerful example of what happens when students are given the opportunity to apply STEM skills in meaningful, real-world ways.
🔧 Challenges That Put Skills to the Test
Teams competed in four dynamic events, each designed to highlight different aspects of robotics and engineering:
Robot Soccer: Strategy, teamwork, and fast decision-making were essential as teams worked together to control their robots in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
King of the Hill: This challenge tested precision, control, and positioning as teams competed to maintain dominance in a high-stakes setting.
Autonomous Navigation: Students programmed their robots to navigate obstacles independently, applying coding skills, logic, and iterative problem-solving.
Teleoperated Control: Speed and accuracy were key as teams raced against the clock, demonstrating control and responsiveness under pressure.
Each challenge required a unique approach, encouraging students to think critically, adapt quickly, and continuously improve.
🏆 Robotics Week Highlights: Meet the Winning Team
We’re proud to recognize the teams who stood out for their achievements:
Soccer Stars: Farmington Tiger Bots
Autonomous Navigation: Lin-Wood Public School
Spirit of Robotics: Charlotte Ave Elementary School
Masters of Control: Lempster Community School
Innovative Design: Pittsfield Coding Cats
Excellence of Champions: The Rubber Duckies
These awards highlight not only technical skill, but also collaboration, creativity, and perseverance—qualities that extend far beyond the competition.
💡 Impact That Lasts Beyond the Competition
Students walked away with more than trophies—they built confidence, strengthened teamwork skills, and experienced firsthand how persistence and iteration lead to success.
Educators shared how experiences like this spark deeper engagement and keep students excited about STEM long after Robotics Week ends.
As the competition continues to grow each year, so does its impact. Looking back on the moments that made this event so special, it’s clear that opportunities like this help shape not only stronger students, but more confident, capable problem-solvers.
We’re grateful to the students, educators, and supporters who made it all possible—and we’re already looking forward to what’s next.
🚀 Bring STEM to Life
When students design, build, and problem-solve through robotics, they don’t just learn STEM—they build confidence in what they can do.
