True Robotics: Hitting the Road, Making Waves, Turning Heads

9th annual DISTRICT 75 STEM Fair

As a proud NYC DOE vendor, we’re deeply committed to supporting educators across New York, and we couldn’t have been more excited to connect with even more passionate teachers at the 9th Annual District 75 STEM Fair at the American Museum of Natural History on March 20. The event highlighted hands-on STEM opportunities for students with disabilities, and we were thrilled to showcase how robotics is transforming STEM education by making it accessible, engaging, and inclusive for all learners.

Our classroom packages are designed to provide a comprehensive, ready-to-implement robotics solution. With reusable robot kits, grab-and-go curriculum materials, and 1-on-1 professional development, we ensure that every educator has the tools and support they need to confidently deliver engaging, hands-on STEM experiences to all students.

second annual nh robotics competition

On April 5, we had the privilege of hosting our second annual robotics competition, and let us tell you—the energy, creativity, and innovation from the students blew us away! It was an incredible day full of fierce competition, teamwork, and some seriously impressive robotics skills.

Seven teams came together to take on a series of challenging tasks. From 1-on-1 robot soccer to Ruler of the Hill, a teleoperated robot maze, and the high-speed best-time race, these students pushed their robots to the absolute limit. The robots may have been designed to compete, but it was the spirit of collaboration and resilience that truly made this event special.

A unique feature of this competition was the midway coding mini-lesson, allowing students the chance to learn about Trubots Playground Software and plan out their approach to the challenges ahead. With time to adjust between rounds, teams made real-time improvements to their robots, pivoting their strategies along the way. The event became a powerful showcase of problem-solving, quick thinking, and the resilience needed to face the unpredictable nature of robotics.

A huge shout-out to our seven incredible teams—you all made this event one for the books! We’d also like to take a moment to celebrate our winners, who not only showcased their skills but also demonstrated amazing teamwork and determination.

Here are the prize winners:

  • Soccer Stars: AVS Pro Team

  • Ruler of the Hill: The Rubber Duckies

  • Maze Masters: AVS Taco Squad

  • Champions of Robotics: Bot Brilliance Brigade

Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered on the teams, and made this competition a huge success. We can’t wait to see what the next competition holds!
