One of our favorite times of the year is coming up-STEM Week! In Massachusetts, STEM Week is a yearly event that takes place during the third week of October. Across the Commonwealth, exciting and interactive events take place to help students envision themselves in STEM fields. Fostering the love of STEM is central to our mission, and we have a packed week full of incredible activities:
Saturday 10/19 We are collaborating with Girl Scouts of Grafton for a private event, hosting two workshops workshops where girls will earn their robotics badges.
Tuesday 10/22 Alongside the Blackstone Valley Hub for Workforce Development, we are hosting a special two-hour Competition Workshop. Open to the first 30 students (9 and up) who sign up here.
Wednesday 10/23 At the Basketball Hall of Fame, we will be part of the Mass Makes Innovation Challenge. Students will program robots to navigate a maze, mimicking real-world manufacturing processes. They’ll experience the importance of trial and error, precision in programming, and solving complex tasks, similar to engineers programming production lines.
Pre-registration required.
Friday 10/25 The Boys and Girls Club of Worcester will host their Family STEM night. This public event is the perfect opportunity to stop by, say hello at our table, and check out our robots-Axle, Pilot, and Fido.
We're thrilled to collaborate with these amazing groups and can't wait to show students just how fun and exciting STEM, especially robotics, can be! If you're interested in partnering with us for an event or would like to learn more, feel free to reach out! Let’s inspire the next generation together!
