About the event

The True Robotics Competition is an exhilarating and educational event designed for students aged 9-16, aimed at fostering their interest in robotics, programming, and engineering. In this one-day competition, teams comprising 1 to 6 students will receive a pre-built robot kit and additional materials, challenging them to creatively design, program, and test their robots for a series of engaging challenges. This event not only tests their technical skills but also encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and innovative thinking in a dynamic environment. Team Information

  • Cost: $75 per team
  • Age Group: 9 to 16 years old
  • Team Size: 1 to 6 students per team
  • Robot Kits: Each team will receive a pre-built robot kit and additional materials for customization, especially for the soccer matches.
  • Computers: Each team is required to bring one computer (Windows, MacBook, or Chromebook) for programming and controlling their robot.

At the heart of the competition are three main challenges: a sensor-based obstacle course requiring autonomous navigation, a teleoperated racing event testing manual control skills, and an exciting 3 vs 3 robot soccer match, where teams will showcase their custom-designed attachments and strategic gameplay. The event emphasizes a hands-on learning experience, providing young minds an opportunity to delve into the world of robotics in a fun and competitive setting. Awards and recognition await the top teams in each challenge, celebrating achievements in creativity, collaboration, and technical proficiency. This competition promises to be a memorable day full of learning, innovation, and spirited competition.
